DESCRIPTION:
WW - Nomos Tangente, manual wind, 35mm x 45mm to lug tips, 18mm lug width, original stainless steel snap back exhibition case with sharp angular lugs, black shell cordovan leather strap, original silvered dial with black painted indices, in house 17J cal Alpha, s#160265, triple signed. A relative newcomer to watchmaking, Nomos set up in Glashütte, the ancestral home of German watchmaking, shortly after the fall of the Berlin wall in 1990. Since then they have built up to become the largest producer of mechanical timepieces in Germany, dwarfing that of A. Lange & Söhne, among others.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide; excellent dial with small perimeter scratches at 12; mint blued steel hands; unpolished case shows light wear, several light dings on the lugs and bezel; crown shows light wear; good sapphire crystals.
